Sovereignty Series with Anthony Pena

  • Zoom
  • Free

In this Sovereignty Series presentation, Anthony Peña shares his perspective on “Who Is the Constitution?”, exploring the historical, governmental, and spiritual foundations that have influenced our understanding of sovereignty and self-governance.

This presentation offers another lens through which to consider our history, our founding principles, and our relationship to government today.

I spoke with Anthony after the presentation and he gave me more information in response to my question about the Germanic people (indigenous tribes of Europe), who did not have or ascribe to Biblical principles and yet, they lived sovereign, in small communities, supporting one another, etc.

He shared a reference to them in the Bible and I’m sharing it here.

Romans 2:14-15.

Several translations:

• New Living Translation (NLT): "Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right."

• King James Version (KJV): "For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;"

Key theological terms often translated as "by nature," "instinctively," or "naturally" derive from the Greek word physei, indicating that this moral behavior stems from inherent human nature or conscience rather than external revelation.

Thus, Dr. Hamer’s use of the word Germanic can be understood in this context as pointing to a people associated with living according to an inherent natural law—principles understood through nature, conscience, and what is ‘written in the heart,’ rather than solely through externally imposed law.

A note about the recording: During the live event, we believed that participants who did not speak would not appear in the recording. Unfortunately, Zoom captured participant video differently than expected. We apologize for the misunderstanding and appreciate your understanding.
